Empowering Growth: Mentoring and Coaching in Early Childhood Education-2 Parts.

This (2 parts) workshop is designed to equip educators and leaders with the skills and strategies necessary for effective mentoring and coaching in early childhood education. Drawing from the facilitator’s unique experience in mentor-coaching and training educators and ECE students, participants will explore the principles and practices of mentoring and coaching. They will learn how to build trusting relationships, provide constructive feedback, and foster professional growth among their colleagues and students. Through interactive activities and discussions, educators and leaders will learn how to effectively communicate their concerns and priorities to policymakers, stakeholders, and the community. Drawing from real-world examples and case studies, the workshop will provide practical strategies for engaging in advocacy efforts at the local, state, and national levels. This workshop on Pedagogical Leadership in Early Childhood Education is designed to empower early childhood educators and leaders with the essential skills and knowledge required to lead effectively in diverse and dynamic educational settings. Participants will explore the core principles of pedagogical leadership, develop strategies for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment, and enhance their ability to inspire and guide both educators and young learners.<br><br>

Through interactive sessions, case studies, and reflective practices, attendees will delve into leadership models, collaborative approaches, and innovative techniques that support and drive high-quality educational experiences. This workshop will also address how to integrate diverse perspectives and address challenges within early childhood settings to promote an equitable and enriching environment for all.

In this workshop, leaders will learn various strategies to create a workplace that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive and foster a comprehensive DEI approach that involves everyone in the organization. In this workshop, leaders will also think about different examples of biases and their impacts in the ECE workplace based on real-life experiences and scenarios that would lead to a discussion and reflection. This workshop can be helpful for leaders to support educators as it will embrace different strategies, steps to promote DEI and self-test to address bias in the workplace. The facilitator is located in ON, Canada.

This workshop equips participants with strategies, self-assessment tools, and mental health resources to effectively address microaggressions, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and psychologically safe environment in ECE workplaces.
